Project Description

Barney Bonito, a local kayaker in the Fayetteville area, fires up a boof move at Sweet’s Falls Class V rapid on the Gauley River in West Virginia.

For those who don’t know what a “boof move” is, it is a whitewater kayaking move in which the boater uses a rock with a think layer of water running over it as a launch ramp to either avoid a hazard or just to catch a little air and have more fun.

This picture was taken on the first day of Gauley Season, 2018 while shooting pictures for the Beckley Register-Herald.
