Hannah was born into the West Virginia whitewater community of the New River Gorge. Both of her parents are raft guides. This makes the New River Gorge an important place for us to use as her senior pictures.

Starting off, we went down to Fayette Station. It’s the most accessible location for photos with the river in the background. We took advantage of some muted, natural light from some clouds in the sky.

After that, we made our way up to Beauty Mountain, another iconic view of the New River Gorge.

We did some more natural light photos and then we did some dramatic portraiture with a single, off-camera strobe.
