In 2017, I went to witness the total solar eclipse. I drove down to Georgia so that I could see it in its entirety.
I knew it would be a unique event and I wanted to create a unique photograph to accompany it.
This is a composite of multiple images taken during totality, which lasted maybe 5 minutes.
When totality struck, I pointed my camera at the eclipse and photographed it. While totality was still going on, I wanted to capture the interesting, studio-light-esque colors of the landscape. I photographed the landscape around me, including the clouds. The multiple images were then composited with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
I wrote a blog article about the experience: My Path to Totality
